Kaplan Hotel is located right in the center of Jerusalem on Jaffa street, just off Ben-Yehuda street, right across Zion square, and near the new train station. Its location is ideal for shopping, grabbing a bite, having a coffee or enjoy Jerusalem nightlife scene.
Spent three happy nights at the Kaplan Hotel. Eli is very friendly and helpful. He can answer all question and has wonderful suggestions of better/cheaper alternatives. The rooms are clean and functional. Wifi is good and the location would be difficult to beat. This hotel has charm and is extremely good value for those travellers looking for a place to get their heads down.
We loved the location (although parking was a bit tricky). It's right off the main street and a ten minute walk to the old city. We loved the warm welcome from Nathan and we liked the fact that there is a kitchen where you can make yourself a coffee.
The location was super because it's very central to good restaurants the places of interests. just five minutes walking distance to the Old city Jaffa gates. Elai the hotel owner is a very kind caring person. He was always ready to help, Stayed there for six nights and if ever I visit Jerusalem again I will certainly stay here. And will always recommend this hotel to my friends & and family.
Rooms were comfortable and clean, great central location but hotel was nice and quiet. Owners were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
We are very much enjoying our stay here at the Kaplan Hotel! It’s centric, beautiful and comfortable. The rooms are quite small but the the other features make up for it. Very clean rooms and friendly staff too.
The location is perfect! Very close to the old city and close to lots of restaurants, bars and markets. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. The owner is so nice, he really helped us a lot!
This is not a high-street hotel but they do offer a nice and pleasant stay. I stayed there for 5 nights and felt almost like home :). Well, for what I wanted - to have a night in and day out - it did work out very well.
Friendly and helpfull staff. We came 3 hours before official check-in time and room was ready. Excellent location, 2 minutes from tram station and 10 minutes to Jaffa Gate. Owner with Polish roots.

Really good location. Close to the old town, market and main street.
Location is everything and Kaplan Hotel has it. Our host Nathan and his housekeeper could not do enough to accommodate us and were very friendly and helpful. (Even did a load of washing for us 🙂 Absolutely loved Jerusalem....will be back.
the location was great. also the staff was very kind and helpfull. There is a great wifi connection on the room. I had a one single room in which there was everything what you need . comfortable bed, tv, and also a small bathroom. You got each day new towels.
Ideally located just off Yafo St near Yafo Centre lightrail stop, just 1km or so from the Old City. Very friendly helpful owner. Rooms are a good size for a budget hotel, and recently renovated, so all was fresh and new. Good room wifi- no problems with a skype call.
The location was great near the tram line, and loved the beds, but needed a second pillow. The host Eli was great, very kind and helpful.
Pay attention to other reviewers on how to find this as it's not immediately apparent. Once found, the owner is happy to show you everything and also point out in the city anything you need to find or are interested in. It's located on the light rail line and in the new part of the city, if you are looking for a roof over your head, this is your place, if you are after 'old city' charm, this isn't the place.
Its price and its emplacement. Really great hotel. Everything you need.
My wife and I booked this on the web, and registration upon arrival was quick and amiable. Mr Wasserman is a very warm person and presented us with a large bottle of chilled water and two glasses prior to showing us the room. There is an "olde worldy"ambiance about the place, which makes for a comfortable feeling. The hotel is located in the heart of Israel's holy capital, with easy access by light rail, and many eating places.
I stayed in a single room, perfect size for 1 person, excellent shower with strong water pressure . The location could not be more central, noise blocking windows and the comfortable bed with fresh sheets and super comfortable pillow made my sleep so peaceful (:
This little gem of a place has just enough character to keep things interesting! Our room was small but nicely appointed overlooking the side street. We were able to check in early thanks to the wonderful owner who was very genuinely hospitable and helpful. The walls are thin... so your experience could be more entertaining than you may have anticipated. Clean towels every day, mini fridge in the room, new paint and bathroom. The bathroom was small and has an opaque glass door opposite the toilet which was questionable but fine. Love this city!
It is a great location. Mid-way between the old city and the huge market and easy walks. And, if you want to make it easier, the very quite, clean and easy to use Light Rail runs right by the front of the Hotel. Nice kitchen too for bringing fresh food back from the market and cooking them up or storing in the fridge.
